Meet your Captain
It is my pleasure to introduce USCG-licensed Captain Boo Whitaker with Triple B Guide Service based in Moore Haven, Florida just steps from the famed Lake Okeechobee. Hailing from the mountains of Western North Carolina, Boo has been honing his craft almost as long as he's been on earth. Starting at the young age of 5, Boo learned how to fish alongside his parents and older brother.
After receiving his high school diploma, your captain became a United States Marine at the young age of 17. After completing boot camp at Paris Island SC, Boo proudly served our great nation in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After an Honorable Discharge as a Corporal, he began his 30-year career as a NASCAR mechanic, working for some of the sport's best-known teams. He has sharpened his skills by fishing bass tournaments thru out NC, SC, GA, VA and Florida. Capt. Boo will draw from these personal experiences to create a memorable adventure on Lake Okeechobee.
You will be fishing out of a 2022 Skeeter ZXR20 powered by a Yamaha 250 SHO, equipped with Garmin forward-facing sonar (FFS), Minn Kota trolling motor and Raptor shallow-water anchors. Capt. Boo uses Daiwa Tatula reels, right or left-handed. Spinning reels are available - all reels are matched with Halo rods. If you would like to bring your own rods, reels and tackle, feel free to do so. Live bait (shiners) is extra and can be purchased by the dozen (please call for availability). Artificial baits will be provided.
